Digital Ambassadors are young Canadians who have a unique perspective on being #greenAF. From all different areas of the country they broadcast their lives and their perspectives from the YGC's Snapchat (@yg.jvcanada).
Holly, Inuvik, NWT
What I Do: I create communications products and manage information and technology at the Gwich'in Land and Water Board. I also coach kids in cross-country skiing, and develop ski programs for the Inuvik Ski Club.
Why am I #greenAF: Skiing has connected me deeply to each place I've been with it. Whether it's climate change, economic development, or sustainable community building, I've been able to gain both an analytical and an applied perspective. Succeeding in the face of tough conditions is what motivates me to make change!
Karyn, Halifax, Ns
What I Do: I work at a Forest School and an afterschool program to help kids discover nature and have more green time instead of screen time. I also enjoy reading, running and discovering new places.
Why am I #greenAF: Growing up in rural New Brunswick has helped me to become more connected to the Earth, spending hours outside a day exploring and discovering. This appreciate for the environment led me to study Environmental Studies in University. It was here that I first heard about the Green Party and became inspired by professors and other Green-minded individuals to become involved!
