Young Greens Council Elections

Nominations are now open

The Young Greens of Canada are currently looking for motivated, dedicated and inspiring individuals to fill a number of roles on the Young Greens of Canada Council. Since the new rules have been voted in, the Council will now be made up of representatives from eligible provinces and territories across Canada.

Meet awesome, like-minded people, gain valuable skills and experience, and work side-by-side with some of the leading figures of the environmental movement in Canada, including Elizabeth May. The Green Party of Canada looks to the Young Greens' Council as future political leaders of the Party, and this is your chance to be a part of it!

Available positions:

  • Co-Chair (2 positions)
  • Provincial and territorial representatives (up to 11 positions)

What’s required?

  • Nomination form are due before the close of nominations on April 30th, 2018 at 11:59pm PST.
  • Candidates must be members of the Young Greens of Canada (pay membership dues).
  • Co-chair candidates should be able to commit up to 20 hours per month and Provincial and territorial representatives should be able to commit up to 10 hours per month.

If you are interested in getting active with the Young Greens, but aren’t sure a Council position would be the best fit, you can still sign-up to volunteer! It is fun, free and a great way to meet new people - all while helping to build a better more sustainable Canada.
