Ontario: Leite, Jeremy
Hi there! My name is Jeremy Leite; I’d like to introduce myself as a candidate for Ontario Rep. I’m entering my final year of a Public Administration degree at the University of Ottawa and work at Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat as a Junior Analyst.
I’m the current Policy Chair of YGC; Co-president of the University of Ottawa Greens; member of Ottawa-Vanier’s EDA; and worked in the Info Centre during the 2015 Federal Election.
Fun fact: I’m also the longest-serving student volunteer ever at Elizabeth May’s hill office!
As Ontario Rep, I will work to represent the voices of our largest contingent of YGC members. I hope to work with Green leaders from across the province to increase the party’s visibility and engage youth.
I am keen to expand on the progress made during this year’s Council, especially the Policy Discussion Group and youth-led policy development process. Through these initiatives I have helped craft and submit three motions to the party for consideration. I hope to see them all make it to the floor of the convention in September (and be adopted)!
If you have any questions or if there’s anything I can clarify, please don’t hesitate to contact me. My Green Party email is always open and I’m more than happy to hear from you. I look forward to having your support in this role and hearing your ideas for the future of the Young Greens of Canada.
