On October 19, we will go to the polls to elect a new federal government. In the last federal election, just a handful of voters – 6,201 to be precise – made the difference in electing a majority government while more than 9.4 million eligible Canadian voters didn’t cast a ballot. Have your say! On October 19 be a game changer and VOTE!

Join the Green Party and Elizabeth May in marching in Victoria’s Pride Parade!
People of all sexual orientations and gender identities are invited to join together in a celebration of diversity so come out and show your Pride or your support for the LGBTQ+ community on July 5th!
The Green Party was the first party to support marriage equality, and we continue to work to advance the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. We recognize respect for diversity as one of the 6 core values of the Green movement. We are proud and excited to march in the Pride Parade and hope you’ll join us!
Wear green or pick up a T-Shirt and join in the fun! We’ll have union made organic cotton T-Shirts which were made in Canada with sustainable dyes available for sale for $15 or available to borrow for the parade.
The parade will start at Government and Pandora and go to MacDonald Park, where the Pride Festival will take place. We need to have our group all ready to go by 11:30am. At 11:00am, or shortly thereafter, check in with a volunteer wearing a Green Party T-Shirt standing outside of Nando’s at Government and Pandora who will be able to direct you to exactly where the Green group is assembling. We'll be joined not only by Elizabeth May, but also by star South Island candidates Jo-Ann Roberts for Victoria, Frances Litman - Green Party, Fran Hunt-Jinnouchi for Cowichan Malahat Langford and Paul Manly as well as by the Interim Leader of the Green Party of BC, Adam Olsen.
This event page is for organizing the Green group in the Pride Parade! We’re honoured to be marching alongside many other diverse groups in the parade.
